Kaaval is a cross-platform security tool that does three major things:
1. Scans the downloads folder for newly downloaded files ending with specific extensions
2. Automatically quarantines the files so IT infrastructure is secure and for user to verify authenticity
3. Gives user option for next step with file: either trash immediately or return file to Downloads
for macOS, Windows, Linux and BSD.
Inspired By the work of Streamers such as Perogi From Scammer Payback who try to stall scammer from scamming people and cause Friction I took it apon myself to develop Kaaval as a way to alert and protect Vulnerable groups and infastructure
Kaaval is designed for both Users and IT infrastructure
Users receive the control to act on a suspicious file
IT Systems receive protection from suspicious files wreaking havoc immediately.
However Fraudsters/Scammers/Hackers receive the burden of friction and suspcion
Built with the power of Python, it uses watchdog to supervise the downloads folder
structured logs for easy reference.
